All our coffees and other products are sourced from ethically trading and environmentally responsible producers. A premium price is paid to the producers, who must comply with welfare and eco friendly standards. All ecocoffee coffee is single origin (bar one Premium Blend of three) and the origin and producer is always clearly identified. We use only 100% arabica beans, usually shade grown, many certified organic.
We specialise in supply to Fairtrade and eco cafes, restaurants, hotels, conference organisers, charities, church groups, ethically minded businesses, and organic shops, all over the UK.

- Triple Certified (Fairtrade Organic Rainforest Alliance) coffee from the Honduras and our own Triple Certified Premium Blend, specifically blended for foodservice requirements;
- Fairtrade Organic coffees from Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Ethiopia and Colombia;
- Rainforest Alliance coffees from Brazil, El Salvador and Guatemala;
- Other great ethical coffees such as Utz Certified from the renowned Gethumbwini Estate in Kenya and the Tanzanian "Hope Project" coffee.

Rising Prices Good News for Coffee Farmers

Coffee prices rose by 30-40% over the year to May 2008 and are projected to be on an uptrend over the next three years. The International Coffee Organisation reported (May 2008) that price levels were firm and price volatility has become less intense. Average prices in the first four months of 2008 were higher than those recorded during previous months. Some exporting countries have announced support measures for coffee producers to help them cope with constantly growing fertilizer costs and unfavourable exchange rate movements.
Demand for Arabica beans is expected to grow at a faster pace than for Robusta, according to a recent Morgan Stanley report. The move by companies such as McDonald's, Maxwell House and Dunkin Doughnuts to use only Arabica beans for their coffee is indicative of a reversal in the trend towards cheaper robusta coffee from traditional Arabica varieties, which started in the 1990s, said the report.
Arabica coffee on the Intercontinental Exchange averaged $1.25 per pound in the market year ending September '08, and the average is projected to rise to $1.31/lb in the current year, reaching $1.50/lb in 2011.
